Job overview

The Raedwald Trust is an Alternative Provision Multi-Academy Trust originally created from the merging of two , previously Local Authority managed, pupil referral units: Parkside Academy (incorporating the Lindbergh Campus and the Ipswich Hospital School), and Westbridge Academy.

Founded in May 2016 it has now grown to include a further four provisions: Alderwood, Firstbase, St Christopher’s Academies and Montgomery Road Campus.

Our stated ambition is to create a national centre of excellence in the provision of alternative education across all key stages, providing excellent educational opportunities for those pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education for whatever reason.

We are seeking a forward-thinking CEO to build on our success, grow the Trust and secure high-quality education and learning experiences for all our children, young people and staff.

You will work with the board of Trustees to deliver the Trust’s vision of excellent outcomes achieved through strong leadership, professional collaboration and innovation in teaching and learning. You’ll be expected to work across the Trust acting as an ambassador, inspiring and empowering others and developing relationships that lead to growth.

The role will suit a senior educational leader who likes to have a balance of being hands on, shaping and setting the direction, but also spending time in each academy working closely with the head teacher/head of centre and leadership team.

Further information about this post and our Trust can be found on our website.
