Job overview

The Alpha Academies Trust was created as a cross phase multi-academy Trust, with the core purpose of transforming learning and providing the highest quality education for children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. In four years of operation, we have invested in our academies to develop learning environments for the 21st century and staffing of the highest calibre.  As a result, our academies are improving steadily and gaining a reputation for providing academic challenge and opportunity combined with the highest standards of pastoral care. We offer our children and young people both vocational and academic pathways so that they are thoroughly prepared for a fulfilling and rewarding future.  Three more academies will join the Trust in 2018. Our expansion has been measured, sustainable and supported by our local communities.

We are now seeking a Chief Executive Officer who is passionate, creative and visionary with the outstanding leadership skills necessary to drive further improvement and growth. We are seeking someone who will lead the productive collaboration between our Academies and establish a culture of ambition.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of educational leadership across multiple centres demonstrating a successful track record in school improvement and a clear understanding of strategic and financial management.

For an informal discussion or to arrange a visit please contact Mrs Debbie Daniels by email at ddaniels@alphaacademiestrust.co.uk.

The Alpha Academies Trust has a clear purpose to deliver a first-class education for every child and overcome inequality. We intend to achieve this purpose by investing heavily in staff development and developing a quality all through curriculum from birth to post 16. We are committed to work with other stakeholders and Trusts to create a joined-up momentum, that will bring about transformational change in stoke on Trent. We have a rigorous approach to evaluate impact through a research and development culture. This ensures we identify those approaches that have the greatest impact on children and supports the well-being and workload of our staff. We take seriously our responsibilities to the community and future agendas such as environmental sustainability and digital transformation are very much in our line of sight.
