Job overview

Are you a charismatic and strategic educational leader?

Can you build on our success, drive growth and inspire excellence in all our academies?

If you are seeking a fresh challenge, relish the opportunity to be part of something unique and want to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people, we would love to hear from you.

The Good Shepherd Trust was established by the Diocese of Guildford in 2013 and is now one of the highest performing MATs in the country.

With 10 Church schools (9 primary and 1 secondary) we are one of the largest regional MATs.

Following our early success, we have been encouraged by the Regional Schools’ Commissioner and plan to grow to 30 schools in the next few years.

We are seeking a full-time Chief Executive Officer who will have a key role in leading and shaping Church school education within the Trust and diocese.

You will have a successful track record as a system leader in education, an excellent understanding of the school sector and a strong grasp of current issues including school improvement.

Now is a moment of real opportunity for The Good Shepherd Trust, which makes this post an extremely attractive and rewarding career opportunity.

For an initial informal chat (in complete confidence) please call Liam Dowds, our Emmaus Advising Consultant, on 01737 652 043 or email him at ldowds@emmausleadership.me in the first instance.

Closing date: Monday 1 May at Midnight.

The Good Shepherd Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety and welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
