Contract type: Permanent and full-time
Salary: £125-140k [exact salary to be negotiated based on experience and skills];
Accountable to: GLC Board
Reporting to: GLC Board, GLC Members and other key stakeholders, including the DfE, ESFA and the Regional Schools Commissioner
The GLC is a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) comprised of 1 secondary and 4 primary schools based in Tilbury and Chadwell St Mary, Thurrock.
Following the retirement of the current CEO, the GLC Board of Directors is seeking to employ an outstanding strategic leader who is passionate about improving the life chances of all our learners, driving up standards and ensuring outstanding performance in all areas of the GLC’s operations.
We are looking for a dynamic and suitably experienced candidate who will be relentless in articulating the GLC’s vision, values and ethos, and able to inspire and empower others to share in achieving them by providing the necessary challenge and professional development support to staff. Shortlisted candidates must demonstrate successful experience of working as Deputy CEO or Headteacher [for a minimum of 4 years] and a good knowledge of practice from Early Years to Key Stage 4.
As Accounting Officer for the GLC, the CEO will work with the GLC Board and local academy leaders to further enhance the GLC’s reputation as the education provider and employer of choice, with a value-led, sustainable business model, and ensure compliance with all statutory duties.
