Our current CEO, Brian Crosby, is retiring in August 2020 and therefore Hope Learning Trust Board of Trustees seeking to appoint his successor.  Hope Learning Trust, York currently has five secondary schools and five primary schools and a turnover of c.£28m. This includes two secondary schools in Scarborough which are in Special Measures. Both schools joined in Spring 2019 at the request of the RSC.

There are some rewarding leadership challenges for Hope Learning Trust - for example: following through on the Trust’s Christian moral ethos of supporting pupils and schools in greatest need, improving the cohesiveness of the Trust’s family of schools and staff, on-going school improvement and the continuing growth of the MAT.

Our vision is really very simple.  We aspire to provide environments where children and young people can thrive. We want our schools to be places where children and young people thrive as active learners;  compassionate, kind and creative individuals; caring and engaged citizens; and spiritual beings. We aim to grow together, to serve one another and nurture our children and young people.

As a Trust, we want every young person to experience great teaching, so we place the highest value on   developing colleagues at all levels.

The CEO reports to, and is supported by, a committed group of Trustees who are not afraid to challenge where necessary.

If you seek to take Hope Learning Trust on the next stage of its journey and have the vision and energy to lead the hard working headteachers and 600+ staff who serve our 5,000+ children and their parents and carers, then we very much welcome your application.
