Ascent an Academies’ Trust is a growing partnership of special schools in the North East, which aims to develop outstanding special needs provision across the region.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional individual who has the drive, ambition and leadership qualities to ensure that all our academies and young people within them achieve their full potential.

The candidate:

• will be a visionary leader, commercial in outlook.
• will have proven leadership and management skills within diverse organisations;
• will be inspirational and credible, with well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills;
• will be strategically influential with the ability to translate vision into success;
• will have a successful track record of raising standards and meeting challenging targets.

The Trust has a strong leadership team of four Executive Head Teachers working across our five academies.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people with Special Needs and the Trust expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
