Cambridge Primary Education Trust has an exciting new vacancy for an exceptional finance professional with proven experience in strategic financial planning and management to direct finance operations across our Trust.  The successful candidate will be required to provide strategic leadership on finance, audit, compliance and risk management in addition to having an in-depth knowledge of the principles and methods of financial control and reporting within a multi-academy trust setting.  The ability to produce timely, accurate and clear financial management information allowing leaders in our schools to make informed decisions will be a key aspect of the role.   The aim of the role will be to maintain financial stability for the Trust, oversee individual school budgets and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for the pupils in our schools.  The post-holder will work closely with the Finance Managers in each school as well as the CEO, Headteachers and the Trustees.  The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, build strong positive relationships across our schools and will be responsive and pro-active in the context of the Trust’s strategic aims and priorities.


Applications from candidates holding a recognised accountancy qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable.
