CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

Salary: £52,000 - £68,000 per annum, FTE (full time equivalent) (with the flexibility to appoint within the scale) (pro rata salary £26000 - £34000)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Contract: Permanent - 0.5 to be worked flexibly across the week according to the demands of the trust’s financial planning calendar

Base: Central base with travel to schools as necessary


The Achievement through Collaboration (AtC) Multi-Academy Trust is looking to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Trust’s financial strategy and long-term planning. As CFO you will take a lead role in the development and execution of the AtC’s financial strategy and its commercial business activity.


We are looking for someone to take a major role in helping to formulate, evaluate and promote the strategic direction of AtC. The CFO plays a key part in evaluating and ensuring financial statutory responsibilities and compliance demands are met including policy development.


The successful candidate will develop and drive internal financial procedures/systems - ensuring that staff with financial responsibilities are appropriately trained, deployed and managed and that the systems have capacity for future growth. You will take leadership of the Trust’s financial scrutiny processes (including engagement with the Trust’s internal and external audit providers).


You will be required to ensure Trustees and other relevant stakeholders receive timely reports and the necessary support, training and guidance to help them to fulfil their roles and to act as Company Secretary.
