The School and Homes are within a private, 30 acre Estate situated within Norfolk’s picturesque and tranquil countryside, close to the town of Banham.

As part of Outcomes First Group we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.

About the role

As the Deputy Manager, you will support our Registered Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the home, helping our children and young people in their daily lives, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy.

This is a great opportunity to continue your leadership career in care, working as part of a team committed to helping children with varied and complex needs. Our Deputy Managers help to ensure our care teams have the structure, resources and motivation needed to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care. Alongside the Registered Manager, you will deliver efficient management, delivery, and development of our residential SEMH service, ensuring the highest quality of care and support is consistently given.

Quality is always top of our agenda and we pride ourselves on the quality of what we do. We are looking for a Deputy Manager who shares our vision to build incredible futures by empowering vulnerable young people in the UK, to be happy and to make their way in the world.

Already a Deputy Manager or with previous management experience in a similar 24/7 ASC care setting with ambition to progress, you will bring the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience to ensure a caring, structured service that provides a calm, homely environment.

Qualified in Level 3 Diploma Care Leadership and Management, you will be a calm, engaging, resilient leader able to motivate your team to provide a safe, caring environment where every child can thrive.

Acorn Park Autism School is a unique 30-acre private estate where children and young adults across the breadth of the autistic spectrum can live, learn and play in a holistic, happy & safe environment.

Our dedicated, knowledgeable team of onsite therapists are part of each student’s every day life - at home, at school and during leisure activities - which guarantees that each individual makes progress.

A place at Acorn Park Autism School ensures that a young person’s life becomes worthwhile, however mild or profound their autism. Our wraparound care and teaching approach enhances our children’s lives, making them as independent as they are able to be, and having a positive impact on the whole family.

Our classrooms - in different buildings across our site - are well resourced with small class sizes and a personalised curriculum. Our experienced autism-specific approach means that every young person’s learning needs, communication requirements and social skills are met. Their lives are enhanced significantly.

Our living arrangements are welcoming, modern and homely; offering well equipped facilities and numerous after-school activities. As well as our boarding houses, we have a community of small houses for teenagers and young adults who are able to live semi-independently.

The layout of Acorn Park means our pupils can walk safely to and from school, can enjoy our adventure playgrounds, outdoor space & the multi sensory play barn. We enjoy frequent trips to local villages & the zoo, and regularly enjoy activities around Thetford Forest and at the seaside towns around East Anglia.
