The Head is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative class teacher to join our talented and committed Prep team.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have qualified teacher status. He/she will have experience of teaching in KS1 or 2 and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of raising expectations and standards. They will have a strong knowledge of primary Science, as well as an ability to coordinate and lead in this area. A confidence and competence in ICT, particularly coding, is not essential but would be an advantage.

Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) is a highly successful independent, academically selective school for girls aged 3-18. Major investment in exciting development and refurbishment plans includes a new Sixth Form Centre and a Creative Arts Centre.
SCHS is abuzz with activity. Pupils regularly put on ambitious drama productions. The school has four choirs, a full orchestra and a variety of chamber-music groups. Its pupils participate in a legion of sporting activities, in which they achieve great success. SCHS’s Gymnastics teams, for instance, were the best in England in the 2012 National Gymnastics Competition. However, pupils attain success across the spectrum of activity, from achieving outstanding results in public-speaking competitions, to winning prizes for the crash-testing of vehicles at Imperial College; from gaining awards for eco-action and sustainability, to trekking across the Atlas Mountains in Morocco or to the base camp of Mount Everest.
