Job overview
Abacus Belsize Primary School
Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 Class Teacher
Are you a passionate, outstanding teacher ready for a new challenge?
Do you want to work in a school, and a Trust, that values you and your development?
Abacus is an Outstanding (OFSTED May 2015) 1 FE primary school situated in Camden, North West London. Opening with a cohort of 30 Reception class pupils in September 2013, Abacus offers a broad curriculum, with a strong focus on English and Mathematics and incorporating Mandarin and outdoor learning. Our aim is to inspire all children within a positive, creative and multi-sensory learning environment, maximising their individual talents, curiosity and ability to think.
If you share our vision, then why not come and help create the foundations of this new school?
Your classroom, Your vision, Your move.
Abacus was created by the 'Community' as an alternative offering to Faith based or Independent primary schools within Belsize and the surrounding area and we joined the rapidly growing family of successful Academies and Free Schools managed by CfBT Schools Trust, one of the world’s leading Education charities.
We are currently located within high quality temporary accommodation for the next academic year whilst our amazing permanent home is currently being developed. This is a great opportunity to be able to work in a purpose built, brand new Primary school.
Your role
We are looking for someone with ambition and vision; someone who will thrive on our core values of academic excellence, community engagement, outdoor learning and early years’ languages development as well as sharing our goal of developing a remarkable new school.
If you are a qualified teacher, with boundless energy and enthusiasm to help us continue on our journey in our Outstanding Free School, then we would like to meet you. You will be an excellent classroom teacher and have the capability and determination to provide outstanding lessons every day.
NQT’s welcome to apply.
