Eslington Primary School offers provision for children with Social, Emotional and/or Mental Health difficulties. We were judged as outstanding by OFSTED in 2017. We work across two sites which are approximately 20 minutes walking distance from each other. Our Specialist Primary School offers 68 places to pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, predominantly across Gateshead.
Our vision and values reflect nurturing principles coupled with high expectations so that every child can achieve and experience success. Our Governing Body, staff and pupils are seeking to appoint an outstanding classroom practitioner to join our enthusiastic and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and flexible primary teacher, to gain significant experience in both SEND and behaviour management. We would also welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced teachers. Due to being a split site provision, staff are often required to work across both sites.
We are seeking a practitioner who:
• values and prioritises the development and achievements of the whole child;
• is able to plan, deliver and evaluate outstanding lessons which will inspire pupils, break down barriers to learning and motivate children to succeed;
• is innovative and creative in ensuring that individual learning experiences are effective;
• has consistently high expectations for pupil progress;
• has the commitment and desire to deepen their own understanding of the factors that impact on children’s emotional and social development;
• can work as part of an outstanding staff team and is emotionally resilient;
• has strong behaviour management skills;
• demonstrates a good sense of humour.
In return we can offer you:
• a positive and caring ethos with learning for all being central;
• a committed and supportive Governing Body and staff team to work with;
• pupils who are very eager to succeed;
• excellent professional development opportunities in SEND;
• opportunities to develop in all areas of the teaching profession.
If you believe you have the qualities we are looking for, then we would like you to apply.
If successful, you will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure
