Class Teacher

Norfolk House SchoolHaringey

You might just have found the perfect school…

An excellent Teacher with vision, energy and commitment is required from 1st September 2021.

Norfolk House is seeking to appoint a KS2 Teacher to join our team for September 2021. Norfolk House School is a leading, co-educational, preparatory school and nursery in Muswell Hill, North London, for children aged 2-11.  This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone innovative and aspiring to join a team committed to developing teaching and learning and the school takes great pride in our happy and warm environment, where each and every pupil is valued and nurtured.

With small class sizes and a well-resourced school, you will be joining a supportive, forward-thinking team who are committed and passionate about educating children. The successful candidate will be appointed as class teacher for 14 pupils.

Our children are our most powerful advertisement - they are polite, well mannered, and are excited and engaged learners. Our  children arrive ready to learn with strong underpinning skills and knowledge so our curriculum matches this. Our daily teaching focuses on engaging  literacy and mathematics teaching with the afternoons consolidating children’s learning using more open-ended materials, but with no less challenge.

Our salary scale is in line with the teachers’ Outer London pay scale and we offer staff the opportunity to join the school’s attractive pension scheme. We also provide breakfast and lunch for staff.

While social distancing measures remain in place, applicants should expect initial telephone or video interviews, with the arrangements for final interviews to be shared after shortlisting. We want to reassure applicants that effective measures have been implemented to ensure their health and wellbeing whilst on school premises and specifics of this will be explained prior to any onsite visits.

At Norfolk House School we offer:

A nurturing and all-round academic school, unique in its context;

Motivated, well-rounded and excited children, eager to learn;

Excellent professional development opportunities within the school, through Bellevue Education and the Independent Schools Association

A team of motivated, committed and talented staff
