We need a  highly skilled and adaptable teacher who realises that 'one size does not fit all'. Our successful candidate will be a team player who has high expectations. Our fantastic pupils deserve teachers who will make their learning fun, whilst enabling them to reach their goals. We can offer you opportunities to develop and consolidate your skills, in the diverse and fast changing field of Special Education.

We value the CPD of our team and support, and specific training to meet the needs of our pupils (ASD/MLD/SLCN/ADHD) will be offered. You will have opportunities to become involved in imaginative new initiatives through the school development plan, for example enabling pupils to develop a pro-active approach to their own wellbeing through our new 'Feelgood Friday' initiative and developing international links with our partner school in Sri-Lanka.

We are a friendly, supportive and skilled staff team and work closely with parents and professionals from a number of other fields. This is a really exciting time to join our school. We have settled into a beautiful new building in Hatfield town centre. We are developing great links with our local mainstream schools and International  links with a partner school in Sri Lanka.

We deliver a creative curriculum through specialist provision and imaginative approaches. Southfield is a good school (Ofsted Nov 2015) and our plans are focused on securing a judgement of outstanding. We need  an aspirational teacher, who is highly committed to school improvement.
