Connolly School Campus is an integral part of the Inclusion and Wellbeing Service which supports over 500 children and young people with additional support needs across West Lothian. Connolly School Campus, situated in Blackburn, supports 30 children with a variety of additional support needs, including social and emotional challenges, in a nurturing and inclusive environment for our children and families. Connolly School Campus is aligned to the Inclusion and Wellbeing Service (Secondary) team based at our Skills Centre in Whitburn and also with our Early Intervention Teams and there is significant cross-service collaboration and co-development of inclusive programs and models for our children and young people.

The Inclusion and Wellbeing Service is made up of a team of 68 multi-skilled practitioners working with children across all 66 primary schools and 11 secondary schools in West Lothian. The service is led by a Head Teacher and three Depute Head Teachers and Connolly School Campus is staffed by 5 teachers and 9 Pupil Support Workers.

The school building is modern and purpose built for our children and provides a bright and attractive working environment for pupils and staff. The school is part of the Bathgate school cluster and, as part of the Inclusion and Wellbeing Service, staff teams also engage across all 67 primary schools and 11 secondary schools. There is significant collaborative working opportunities and scope to learn from practice both locally and nationally as we strive to be a sector leading ASN service.

West Lothian Council are committed to far reaching changes to the way we deliver our Education Services. These changes include giving you the support and environment that you need to get on with your job and develop your abilities. Our dedication is demonstrated by the whole council achievement of the Investors in People Standard and always aiming a little higher in our service delivery and improvements.

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
