DESS seeks to recruit the very best teachers who will help us to continue to provide this high standard of education.

The successful applicant will: 

  • Have the relevant qualifications (PGCE or equivalent)
  • Have a minimum of one year's teaching experience of the UK curriculum and have QTS
  • Be talented and highly motivated, with a proven track record of teaching children in KS1
  • Be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school’s vision, including extracurricular activities
  • Be willing to share expertise, knowledge and skills with the wider school community and maintain a personal commitment to professional development
  • Be committed to inclusive education with a willingness to response to the needs of all children
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and be motivated to develop effective partnerships with all stakeholders

Dubai English Speaking School (DESS) is very proud to be the oldest British school in the United Arab Emirates, established in 1963 by the British Embassy and has over 1,000 students.  We enjoy an excellent reputation and are one of the few not-for-profit British curriculum schools in the region with a long and proud history in Dubai.

Life in Dubai
