Class Teacher (KS1 and KS2)

The Prince of Wales Island International Primary School, opening in September 2019, on Penang Island, Malaysia offers teachers an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop an outstanding school from its inception. Proudly offering a context relevant version of the English National Curriculum, the school will meet the needs of the local and international community in Penang, providing high-quality education for children aged 3 to 11 years old.

They will be confident about implementing an enhanced English National Curriculum, which takes into consideration our regional context, and will be willing contributors to the school’s extra-curricular programme. They should be highly resourceful, forward-thinking professionals and good colleagues who function successfully in small teams. The successful candidates will be working with small class sizes and motivated students. Teachers will have access to excellent facilities, resources and work in an environment that values innovative practice. 

Applicants should have at least 3 years of classroom teaching experience in the U.K. or overseas (preferably teaching the ENC), regardless of nationality. All applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in education, or a first bachelor’s degree and a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE, DipTch).
