Brookmead School: Bringing learning to life and life to learning
We are looking to appoint a class teacher for September 2018 with the motivation, insight and enthusiasm to inspire our pupils and play an active role as a member of our learning community. Applications are invited from experienced and recently qualified teachers; teachers will be considered for a role in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 depending on skills and experience.
Brookmead is a popular and friendly 2-form entry primary school situated within a strong community in an inspiring location. Our children are thoughtful, caring, well-behaved and keen to learn. We have a supportive team of staff and governors focused on providing the best opportunities for our pupils; there is a strong commitment to staff development. We provide a distinctive learning experience and places a strong emphasis on pupil participation in music and drama, sport, and learning outside the classroom. Our curriculum brings our vision to life and enables our children to:
- enquire, explore and discover;
- be excited by their learning;
- find what they’re good at;
- ask questions;
- rise to a challenge;
- be curious;
- wonder and be amazed;
- be proud of their achievements;
- think for themselves;
- want to be part of the team;
- be happy;
- be confident;
- care about others;
- be themselves.
Visits to the school are strongly encouraged.
