Carterhatch Junior School is a three-form entry school looking for an enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our team.  Our Good school, as rated by Ofsted, has happy, curious and well-motivated children, eager to learn.

Giving our teacher the best resources, tools and modern technology is important to us.  We are a well-resourced school and teachers are provided with “personal” Mac books for work.  We also have an on-site IT technician.

Our outdoor curriculum is well-resourced with a large field, allotments, outdoor gym equipment and a large astro turf football pitch.  We have a sensory room, music room and nurture room.  Our specialist sports coach provides our children with high quality sports provision and excellent extra-curricular opportunities.  We have specialist Music and Spanish teachers.

We recognise the importance of pupil voice and our core values are firmly embedded into school life and the creative curriculum.  Our Philosophy for Children lessons encourage our children to be critical thinkers and we have adopted the strategies of Growth Mindset.

We provide high quality training and development for staff.   All staff are able to contribute to the curriculum and are encouraged to develop their specific interests and work collaboratively to develop their practice.  The well-being of our staff is important and we are working hard to innovate and embed practices which impact on learning in the lessons whilst at the same time encouraging a healthy work-life balance.  We offer free membership of the Charted College of Teaching and Times Educational Supplement (TES), free membership to Twinkl and free access to “Perkbox”; an app which provides discounts on high street chains such as Café Nero!

We are just within the M25 so there are good transport links.

Our school is part of the Enfield Learning Trust, providing excellent opportunities for our staff to work collaboratively, sharing good practice and working hard to achieve excellent outcomes for all learners.
