Join our expanding school 

St Leonard’s has been serving the community of Streatham for over 200 years. Due to the expansion of our school, we are looking to appoint a class teacher (initially in the infant department) to join our friendly and hardworking team of staff.

About St Leonard's Church of England Primary School

St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School is a mixed CofE primary school and nursery, situated in Streatham, south-west London. The school has approximately 204 pupils aged 3-11. 

St Leonard’s CE Primary School was founded in 1813. The school opened its nursery and took its first two forms of Reception-aged children in September 2016. It has a partnership with the Lambeth Music Service and provides opportunities for learning musical instruments, along with singing, acting and dancing.

Vision and values 

St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School wants to serve the community by providing high-quality education to children across Streatham and south-west London. The school nurtures Christian beliefs, promoting the values of faith, hope and love. Pupils are encouraged to achieve to the best of their abilities in an inspiring and caring environment. 

In 2011, the school introduced the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to establish a creative and practical teaching approach. St Leonard’s encourages children to become active citizens through a student council, where issues concerning school life are debated.
