Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)

The Vale Primary Academy caters for just over 250 boys and girls between the ages of three and 11. The school is situated on the boundary of Knottingley and Ferrybridge, three miles from Pontefract and four miles from Castleford.

We have high expectations of all our children and learning takes place in a safe, exciting and purposeful way. Our teachers, aided by an effective team of support staff, plan and present lessons that are based on learning needs and using the most effective methods of teaching. Lessons and experiences are meaningful, enjoyable and interesting, and promote personal development and achievement for all of our children. Best practice and understanding next steps in learning is at the heart of our pupils' success in learning. We are resilient in reflecting and improving in order to serve the needs of our children.

As an Academy we have excellent relationships with parents and the community and together we are dedicated to providing the best possible education for all of our children and enable them to reach their full potential.
