At this key time in the Academy’s development we require an ambitious, determined and committed Class Teacher to start in October to cover maternity leave. 

The successful candidate will:

  • be an excellent practitioner
  • be enthusiastic, resourceful and keen to ensure that the highest possible standards of pupil achievement, personal development and well-being are achieved.

This post would suit either a newly qualified or more experienced teacher.

The Vale Primary Academy caters for just over 250 boys and girls between the ages of three and 11. The school is situated on the boundary of Knottingley and Ferrybridge, three miles from Pontefract and four miles from Castleford.

We have high expectations of all our children and learning takes place in a safe, exciting and purposeful way. Our teachers, aided by an effective team of support staff, plan and present lessons that are based on learning needs and using the most effective methods of teaching. Lessons and experiences are meaningful, enjoyable and interesting, and promote personal development and achievement for all of our children.
