Job overview

Class Teacher or NQT - EYFS, KS1 or KS2

Are you looking for a Class Teacher or Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) post in a Harrow Primary school, to start in September 2020? We are currently recruiting and are eager to meet committed and ambitious teachers!

We have been graded as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (February 2020) and pupils are making strong progress in our purposeful and engaging environment. At Roxbourne, we have been redefining what is possible for our pupils, in doing so, we have developed and launched a pioneering whole class reading programme, we are embedding a knowledge-rich curriculum in humanities and teaching staff receive  15% release time.

If you are an NQT, you will follow our highly successful Harrow School’s NQT Programme, training alongside other NQTs from across the borough. This enables aspiring teachers to support and learn from each other, in a truly developmental journey.

Our school can offer:

  • an early start (June / July 2020 – depending on your start date)
  • commitment towards achieving a healthy work / life balance (all teachers receive 15% release time)
  • a staff Google Chromebook (and a Google school)
  • a school, very recently judged to be ‘Good’ by Ofsted (February 2020)
  • a well-resourced school on an impressive site, which includes; multiple playgrounds, a school field and dedicated classrooms for music, art / DT, food technology as well as a library, a computing suite and multiple small group rooms
  • a parent community with high aspirations and children with exemplary behaviour

We would very much like to hear from you if you share our vision, values and enthusiasm.  An application form, job description and person specification are available from the school website: www.roxbourneprimaryschool.co.uk/vacancies-1. Closing Date: Monday 27th April  at 12:00 (however applications will be reviewed as they are received, please apply early to avoid disappointment). To apply, please email a completed application form to: admin@roxbourne.harrow.sch.uk
