Heltwate is a friendly and welcoming school for pupils aged 4 to 19 with an increasingly complex range of severe learning difficulties associated with Autism, communication and interaction, physical disabilities, and medical needs. Young people’s ability to make progress is limited across all areas of development.

Heltwate is a large special school with 213 pupils across 3 sites, with an intake from Peterborough and the surrounding area.  It is oversubscribed and has a good reputation and is still expanding.
