A thriving Acorn Education Trust school is looking to appoint a Class Teacher to cover PPA across the school, starting as soon as possible. St Michael’s Church of England Primary School is located in the village of Larkhill, Wiltshire. It is a happy, open, inclusive and diverse church school where the staff are dedicated to creating a great environment for children to thrive and learn.  

At St Michael’s Church of England Primary School, we want to spark interest, ignite a passion for learning and fire up ambition to inspire every child to recognise and exceed expectations. As a Class Teacher, you will work as part of a team, planning alongside and collaborating with other teachers to provide cover during their PPA. 

Please note: this can be a full time or part time postition. It is fixed term until the academic year (August 2023).

This role is suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers.

  • Are strong classroom practitioner with the ability to impact significantly on student outcomes across all key stages;
  • Have a good knowledge of the KS1/ KS2 curriculum;
  • Are dedicated to and have high expectations of children and a belief that all children can succeed;
  • Are committed to teaching using a creative, cross-curricular approach;
  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills;
  • Have a strong belief in the power of education to transform lives;
  • Are able to create a high-quality stimulating, interactive and creative learning environment;
  • Are able to work effectively within our hardworking, talented and friendly team on whole school issues and can share good practice;
  • Can offer specialism enrichment (e.g., drama, music or MFL) (desirable).
