We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and innovative Class Teacher to join our team of dedicated staff on our journey towards becoming an outstanding school. You will be creative in your approach to teaching, well organised and have high aspirations for all pupils.

This post is considered to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The school therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the person specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.

St Augustine of Canterbury is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted April 2015) and an ‘Outstanding’ church school (SIAMS June 2015). We are a one form entry school, serving a varied and diverse community. We celebrate the rich experiences gained from a range of different cultures within our school.
