About International Community School - City Centre Campus

Located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, International Community School is an independent international school. With around 1500 students, the school was first established in 1990. Since its establishment, International Community School has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, and is currently able to boast of a wide range of modern recreational and academic facilities. These include two libraries, various science labs, multiple-use sports courts and even a six-lane swimming pool. As a result of these facilities, the school is able to offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as musical and creative arts outlets, and a large number of sporting opportunities. The curriculum at International Community School is primarily American, although the school does also offer a British stream for students looking to study the iGCSE and British A-level examinations. Both of these curriculums are supplemented by additional local subjects, such as Islamic studies and Arabic. Younger students receive instruction in a smaller number of core subjects, with the school being able to offer a wide range of elective subjects as thy progress through the school.
