Class Teacher

This role is initially based at Primary 2 stage. You will be responsible for the learning and teaching attached to this class, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of all learners within this setting.

Knightsridge Primary School is a non- denominational school serving the Knightsridge area of Livingston. Currently the roll is 280. Accommodation consists of 11 classrooms; a Support for Learning base; a Music/Art room, a Family Room, two Nurture bases and a gym hall/dining hall). The staff team consists of the Head Teacher, a Deputy Head teacher and a Principal Teacher. Specialist teachers deliver PE, Art, Music and RME. We are part of a supportive and proactive Deans cluster. We benefit from a cluster Active Schools Coordinator. We have a visiting specialist for drumming instruction one morning per week and woodwind instruction one morning per week for pupils in primary five to primary seven. There are six full time equivalent pupil support workers who are allocated between all classes in the school. The admin staff, janitor, cleaners and kitchen staff complete a team dedicated to the welfare of the children at the school.

Knightsridge Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school where children are respected as individuals and encouraged to participate in the life of the school. Educational visits, both locally and further afield, are an important part of the life of the school.
