Toronto Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the Howden area of Livingston. The school currently has 11 classes, a morning nurture class and a 30/30 nursery. The school currently sits within decile 3 on the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) and the Free Meal Entitlement (FME) is 38%. 

The current school roll is 266. The school and nursery is staffed by a Head Teacher, a Depute Head Teacher, a Principal Teacher, 14 teaching staff, 8 pupil support workers and 2 office staff. The school benefits from a visiting music specialist. The nursery comprises of a 0.5 teacher and 3 nursery nurses. The school runs a very successful Breakfast Club which is well attended by the children.

The school provides extensive support to parents and families to ensure children’s social, emotional and wellbeing needs are being met.

The school has a supportive parent body and works closely with the local community to establish effective links to support our children’s learning.
