Milton School is a special through school and is part of the Interaction and Communication Academy Trust (ICAT). We pride ourselves on providing bespoke learning opportunities for all our pupils, enabling every pupil to flourish and leave Milton School ready and prepared for adulthood. Based in South Yorkshire, we provide education for 150 young people aged 4-16 with moderate learning difficulties, ASD and complex needs. At Milton School we place the pupil and their family at the core of everything we aim to do.
Due to our school’s expansion, we are looking to recruit a teacher with additional teaching and learning responsibilities. The additional responsibilities will include:
· Assisting the Principal and SLT in providing professional leadership and management in the school
· To be the named SENCO for Milton school
The right candidate will have a passion to develop pupil learning and progress both academically and socially.
Successful candidates will have a passion for teaching, the ability to plan and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons and a genuine desire to work as part of a committed and pupil-centred team of staff.
Please note that this role is not suitable for ECTs.
Role Details
Salary Main Scale: M3 – M6 (£25,714.00 - £36,961)/Upper Scale: UPS1 – UPS3 (£38,690 - £41,604) Depending on experience
Additional Allowances:
SEN 1 or 2 (depending on Masters)
TLR 2
Start Date: As soon as possible
