We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, imaginative and dedicated teacher for our Year 1/2 class from January 2020.   

Kirkby la Thorpe is a small, rural, Church of England primary academy, where our team of caring staff work closely to provide pupils with a wide range of high quality learning opportunities.   

We are looking for an exceptional applicant to join our Kirkby family who will:

o have a thorough knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and the requirements of Year 2 pupils by the end of the key stage;

o have high expectations for all learners, so that they enter Key Stage 2 with confidence;

o understand the needs of individual children to ensure the progress of all pupils within his/her care; 

o provide a stimulating learning environment, where children are excited to learn;

o develop effective and positive relationships with all members of the school community;

o be hard working, creative and organised; and

o Promote our values of ‘kindness, learning, tolerance’ alongside our Christian ethos.
