The Governors are looking to appoint a Classroom Assistant to join St Mary’s School in September 2018.

This post is for 25 hours a week, term time only (39 weeks a year) on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year. The contract may be extended beyond this date at the discretion of the school depending on funding.

This fixed term role would be ideal for a recent graduate who wishes to gain some school experience before entering teacher training. For the right person, the school may be able to offer a place on the schools direct scheme from September 2019.

The successful candidate will work alongside pupils in class to support with their individual needs, to enable them to achieve their goals. They will also assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic classroom assistant to take up a temporary post in our rapidly improving school.

Someone who will support the work of class teachers in all aspects of classroom organisation, who wants to be part of a small, caring, stimulating learning environment and would like to join St Mary’s committed and hardworking team.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good literacy & numeracy skills and be proficient at ICT. They will have a minimum of a level two or higher qualification.
