The Governing Body at Medina House is seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic teacher to work in partnership with the Headteacher, to build upon the school’s already growing achievements and contribute to school development.  The school caters for children with SLD, MLD, PMLD and ASD aged 2 -11.  

We are looking for an outstanding teacher who has experience/interest in teaching children with complex learning and communication difficulties, a commitment to high standards and the ability to work effectively with the whole school community to empower our amazing pupils to be the best they can be.

The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council delivers, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and did so for an agreed period of five years from 1 July 2013, the original five year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years. The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
