The Perse School (Singapore) proudly commenced its educational pathway on 13th January 2025, welcoming over 220 students from Nursery to Year 6 into a nurturing and stimulating environment. Following this successful launch, we are excited to announce further expansion of the Junior School and the opening of the Senior School, with Years 7 to 10 commencing in August 2025. This growth reflects our commitment to providing an exciting future-focused curriculum, fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning in every student.

The Role

We are seeking eight (8) dynamic and flexible Classroom Teachers who excel in a diverse, multicultural setting as the school expands from its opening in January 2025. 

This role demands a passion for learning, a flexible and imaginative teaching approach, and active participation in the School’s vibrant extracurricular activities programme.

Candidates should specify any areas of subject specialisation and indicate their willingness to take responsibility for teaching specific subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, Humanities, or Creative Arts across year levels. In addition, candidates should outline their experience working with pupils who require support with English language or learning support.

-           Junior School: Year 3 to Year 6 (pupils aged 7 to 11)

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a learning environment where students engage in ongoing learning and reflection.
  • Communicate and cooperate with staff and parents to support student success.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, including EAL students.
  • Arrange the classroom and materials according to school guidelines and maintain attractive displays to enhance the learning environment.
  • Organise external learning opportunities, such as outdoor learning trips.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress and behaviour, providing feedback and setting improvement goals.
  • Prepare and present class assemblies and grade-level performances or productions.
  • Contribute to the extracurricular programme (ECAs)
  • Provide pastoral care and support for students, ensuring their well-being.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, ensuring students' health and safety, and use positive reinforcement in line with school policies.
  • Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and school events, including some weekends and evenings.
  • Participate in professional development and improvement committees to enhance teaching practice.

  • A generosity of spirit and willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school, including organising trips and activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of teaching experience ideally within an international school environment.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, along with a Professional Teaching Qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), or a valid Teacher License/QTS.
  • Desirable - experience of teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Experience working with pupils who have English as an Additional Language (EAL), incorporating strategies to support language acquisition and proficiency.
  • Candidates should also outline any areas of subject specialization and their willingness to take responsibility for teaching subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, Humanities, or Creative Arts across year levels.
  • Experience with inquiry-based and subject learning approaches and working in international schools.
  • Demonstrated passion for education and ability to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
