We are seeking to appoint a talented history teacher to contribute to the on-going success of the Humanities and Modern Foreign Language Faculty.   The history department is a thriving and popular subject area with strong pedagogical practices and an experienced team.  We teach Edexcel History at GCSE and A-Level and also offer Edexcel Politics. 


Forest Hill is a dynamic community school that offers innovative teaching across a broad curriculum, including a Performing Arts focus, which is underpinned by the highest standards of pastoral care. 


We are an extremely inclusive and popular 11-19 boys’ school, with a mixed sixth form run in partnership with Sydenham Girls School and believe that every student should be given the support to aspire to and achieve excellence.

Pupils study a broad and interesting curriculum. The school has carefully considered the important knowledge that they want pupils to study. In the sixth form, a wide range of A-level choices is supplemented by several different vocational qualifications. Within subjects, the chosen topics of study have been put together in a logical way. This helps pupils to build on their prior knowledge so they learn more and remember more over time. This means that, from the start, pupils are well prepared for the rigour of GCSEs and for sixth-form studies. Leaders also make sure that content is relevant and interesting for pupils.
