Are you ambitious, forward thinking, resilient and driven by a desire to enable all children to succeed?

We are seeking to employ an individual experienced in supporting students (11-19) who find it difficult to meet the expectations of mainstream education and can work as part of a committed team delivering an engaging curriculum with a child centered and inclusive approach.

We also welcome applications from teachers who can teach on secondment for 1 or 2 years with an agreement in place with their host school.

The post is based at the Beechcliffe Thackley site, which is specialist provision catering for young people with Education Health Care Plans and have Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) as their primary need.

Teachers have a dedicated class group and teach a range of subjects similar to the primary classroom model. We welcome applications from either primary, secondary or specialist trained individuals.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have the relevant qualifications and experience. Highly skilled classroom teachers play an important role in developing the skills our pupils will need to enjoy success and happiness in life. This is a crucial appointment for the school. The right candidate must also have a strong presence as well as excellent behaviour management. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships with your students, which will lead to an improvement in behaviour and attainment. You must be committed to student progress and be able to inspire those individuals.

The successful candidate will have a passion for collaboration and a commitment to ensuring each student reaches his or her potential. The post is suitable for an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher who will be able to demonstrate a proven record in delivering outstanding outcomes for students. Whilst this ultimately is a qualified teacher post we would also welcome applications from individuals with coaching and instructor skills and we would continue to support them in their development.

This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
