The Governors of Emmanuel Church of England Primary School wish to appoint an excellent teacher to join our committed staff team. We are looking for a teacher who is creative, passionate and committed to high quality teaching and learning and would enjoy working as part of a dedicated, highly motivated and supportive team to secure the best possible outcomes for children. We very much encourage innovation, creativity and purposeful, exciting learning. We warmly welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s).

We are looking for someone who:

 Has experience of good practice and is passionate about teaching and learning

 Is caring, approachable and has excellent inter-personal skills

 Is highly motivated and hard working

 Has high expectations for achievement for each and every child

 Is committed to their own professional development

 Is able to support the Christian ethos of our school.

The successful candidate should have:

 Teaching Qualification

 Experience in a primary setting, ideally inner city

 Experience of working with children with special educational needs/barriers to learning.

Emmanuel CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children. The appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and appropriate references will be required. Also, this post is likely to come under the requirements of the Childcare (Disqualification) 2009 Regulations and the successful applicant will be required to complete a declaration form to establish whether they are disqualified under these regulations.

We are a Church of England Voluntary Aided School providing education for children aged between 4 and 11 years. We are situated in the heart of West Hampstead in a beautiful Victorian school which was built in 1845. 

We at Emmanuel believe that school should be a happy and rewarding experience where children can fulfil their potential in all areas of the curriculum. We attach great importance to the development of self-confidence andself-discipline and seek to enable children to build good relationships based on mutual respect and appreciation. Emmanuel School’s ethos is very positive, reflecting the care and commitment of the staff and children.
