Job overview
We are looking for someone who wants to make a big difference to the learning and working environment of our school. Your main aim is to provide really effective quality teaching and learning support working in a classroom supporting the class teacher.
We require a Teaching Assistant to work 35 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm, term time only.
Experience of working with pupils who have learning difficulties would be an advantage but not essential.
Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references, identity and safeguarding checks and will be probationary for the first 6 months. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School is a mixed CofE primary school and nursery, situated in Streatham, south-west London. The school has approximately 204 pupils aged 3-11.
St Leonard’s CE Primary School was founded in 1813. The school opened its nursery and took its first two forms of Reception-aged children in September 2016. It has a partnership with the Lambeth Music Service and provides opportunities for learning musical instruments, along with singing, acting and dancing.

St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School wants to serve the community by providing high-quality education to children across Streatham and south-west London. The school nurtures Christian beliefs, promoting the values of faith, hope and love. Pupils are encouraged to achieve to the best of their abilities in an inspiring and caring environment.
In 2011, the school introduced the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) to establish a creative and practical teaching approach. St Leonard’s encourages children to become active citizens through a student council, where issues concerning school life are debated.
