Salary: £17,413 Pro Rata

Contract Type: Permanent 25 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Hours: Monday to Friday 1:30pm – 6:30pm

Reporting to: Campus Manager

Location: Astrea Academy Sheffield, Burngreave, Sheffield, South Yorkshire

In September 2018 Astrea Academy Sheffield will open its doors. Astrea Academy Sheffield will be the Astrea Academy Trust’s first all-through academy which will embody our vision for an education that truly ‘inspires beyond measure’, whilst representing a beacon at the heart of a part of the city undergoing significant regeneration.

With an investment in excess of £25M, the purpose built academy will be cutting edge, including science and technology laboratories, modern classrooms, a 300 seated hall, 4G pitch, an underground sports hall, outside amphitheater and forest school learning area. This ground breaking campus is truly breathtaking and will also combine a Grade II listed building.

The school will grow with its community and will reach capacity within four years of opening. When all year groups are filled, the school will accommodate the education and personal development of 1370 pupils right through from Nursery to Sixth Form.

The academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic cleaner in charge to work as part of a small team helping to maintain a clean and healthy learning environment for our students. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in classrooms, toilets, and other areas around academy. You will be reliable, able to use your own initiative, have an awareness of health and safety policies and will have worked in a similar role previously.
