Islington Community schools federation is a newly formed partnership between

Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Secondary School, Holloway Secondary School, Copenhagen Primary School and Vittoria Primary School.  The schools are governed by one Federal Governing Body with local school committees. This is an exciting time to join us at the beginning of this innovative and ambitious venture.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated administrator to the post of Clerk to the Governors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Advising the Governing Body on procedural issues, legal responsibilities and constitutional matters.
  • Preparation, typing and distribution of agendas and associated paper work
  • Taking of and typing of minutes at all meetings
  • Maintaining accurate records of the Governing Body and its membership

A willingness to work flexible hours as the work load is variable.  Hours need to be worked at times convenient to the Governing Body and will include early morning and evening meetings.

Knowledge of how schools and governing bodies operate would be an advantage along with previous experience of similar work.
