Job overview
We seek a flexible individual to act as Clerk to the School’s Governing Body. Averaging approximately 1 day a week during term time, responsibilities will include the convening of and attendance at meetings, sub committees and working parties of the Governing Body, alongside responsibility for all administration and communication.
The Clerk will also be required to advise the Governors upon legal and procedural matters in connection with their duties as directors of the School and in accordance with the School’s Articles of Association and its related.
Corporate entities. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and have strong organisational and written skills.

About Wellington School
Wellington School is a Church of England denominational, co-educational, day and boarding school in Somerset. As of the most recent inspection, there were 900 pupils on the school roll. The school’s motto is the opening of Psalm 127; ‘If God Be Not With Us, Our Labour is in Vain’. The Senior School teaches pupils between the ages of 11-18. The school also offers preparatory facilities from the ages of 3 onwards. Founded in 1837 as a boys school, Wellington has been fully independent and co-educational since 1978. The 35 acre site is a combination of traditional and more recent architecture. The school operates in both a boarding and day capacity.
