Clerk to the Local School Committee

Pay details: £170 per meeting through payroll

Start date: September 2022

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Clerk who can attend Local School Committee meetings, take minutes, provide advice on governance and procedural matters consistent with the principles of Spiral Partnership Trust. The Clerk is required to provide an efficient support to the Local School Committee, ensure that the Local School Committee is properly constituted and manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Provide advice to the Local School Committee
  • Effectively administer the meetings, including taking minutes
  • Provide advice of the membership on the Local School Committee and maintain accurate records
  • Manage information required for the running of the Local School Committee

Knowledge of how schools and governing bodies operate would be an advantage

along with previous experience of similar work. We would like the candidate to

clerk for four of our Spiral schools, attending six meetings a year per
