Job overview

About us

Doha College is a high-profile leading British International School in Qatar delivering a well-balanced, all-embracing English National Curriculum to students aged 3–18. The College was also the first High Performance Learning accredited school in the world. With 2,500 students and 350 staff, the school is a vibrant international community that subscribes to equal opportunities for all. An exciting time for the school, in 2020 we moved to a brand new, 90,000m² state-of-the-art campus, amalgamating two previous sites and ensuring the College’s place at the forefront of educational provision in world-class facilities.

The opportunity

We are looking to appoint an experienced administrator to join our communications team.

As the Co-curricular Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating the administration required for Co-Curricular activities (CCAs) and trips and visits. This will require liaison with staff, parents, third-party providers and the use of IT to ensure appropriate records are maintained and efficient work is enabled.

In addition, you will be responsible for a range of other administrative tasks which are most likely to be in the fields of CPD administration, compliance, and support to key staff; at any time you may be assigned to another business support function in an administrative capacity if the needs of the business require it for output or staff cover

About you

We are looking for a highly organised administrator with excellent interpersonal skills and strong IT skills, with an ability to work efficiently and effectively and liaise with several stakeholder groups to achieve the necessary output.

To be successful, you will be a likable person, known to be can-do by nature and motivated by a need to find solutions to problems. You will need to demonstrate an ability to prioritise your own tasks, be highly motivated and personable, and be able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a range of different audiences.

Please note: Due to government requirements, we can only consider applicants who are below 50 years old for this position. This is a local hire and unsponsored post for which remuneration is salary only (no benefits are provided in addition). Only candidates with family sponsorship currently residing in Qatar will be considered.

Doha College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including reference checks with previous employers and a criminal records check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.

As an equal opportunities employer, Doha College is committed to a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe that a diverse staff body reflects and supports the diversity of our students and wider society and leads to a cognitive diversity that promotes excellence in all areas.
