This new role within the Prep School will ensure that West Buckland continues to be forward thinking in this vital area of school life with potential for further developments. The role will suit an ambitious teacher aspiring to senior leadership positions in the future and will have a management allowance with the position.

Focused very much on developing the characteristics that make up the school ethos (the 7Cs) our extra-curricular (ECA) strategy incorporates Sport, Drama, Music, Outdoor Learning, Service and enrichment opportunities.

The successful candidate will be a capable, creative and skillful Teacher, in either Key Stage 1 or 2, and will be a Form Tutor responsible for the pastoral care of children in their class. Each Form Tutor teaches their class for English, Maths and Humanities lessons along with other subject areas to be determined at interview. In addition, Prep Staff are expected to coordinate a subject area.  Experience in coaching Rugby, Hockey and Cricket would be advantageous.

The post is for appointment with effect the start of the Autumn Term 2020 (Thursday 27th August 20). This is a full time position.
