Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated teacher to join our school family. This is a fixed term, part time position as a co-teacher in Year 2-4. The role of co-teacher primarily supports the facilitation of successful learning outcomes for students and works with teachers to build joint capacity.


In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching,
  • Provide inclusive high-quality learning striving for excellence in collaborative contemporary pedagogy in Flexible Learning spaces,
  • Create a nurturing and responsive learning environment aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices,
  • Proactively engage with professional renewal practices to enhance student outcomes, and
  • Work with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to meet the following criteria:
  • Strong literacy and numeracy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum,
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills,
  • Proven organisational skills,
  • An ability to work in partnership with colleagues, students and parents/carers,
  • Attend in detail to innovative and creative practices,
  • An ability to identify and cater for different learning needs, and
  • Competent at integrating digital technology into a contemporary learning environment.

St Andrew’s is a Catholic primary school found in the western corridor of Brisbane and has an approximate enrolment of 620 students. Our tradition lies with the spirit of St Benedict. Working at BCE our teachers are required to:

 

Estimated Start Date: Commencing 11th July 2022

Employment Tenure: Part Time + Fixed Term

Tenure Duration (if "Fixed Term"): 6 months, till December 2022

If Part Time, hours and/or days required: Four days a week Monday to Thursday.

Employment Conditions: Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement
