Bacon’s College was established in the Surrey Docks peninsula in Rotherhithe, South East London in 1991 as a City Technology College, becoming an academy in 2007 and joined the United Learning Trust in 2018. Bacon’s has long been an important part of the fabric of the local community in south east London and has served the community in its various forms for over three hundred years. We are proud of that history and contribution and of the way the College has evolved and adapted to meet the needs of its young people.

The role

This is an exciting new support role that will play an essential part in ensuring the smooth running of the office function within Bacon's College.  The role will support the Office Manager & PA to the Principal with the efficient management of the school office including, but not limited to, admissions, letters to parents and supporting teachers in trip organisation.  There will also be the need to provide sound finance administration, notably with regard to purchasing, under the direction of the Finance Manager.  The role also incorporates a support service to the front office which includes reception cover, first aid, interaction with pupils and parents as well as the effective organisation of the administration linked to these.

About You

Applicants must be flexible, highly accurate with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to use their own initiative.  Excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills are a must.  Previous school experience would be advantageous although not essential.  Excellent organisational skills and a cheery and friendly manner when dealing with the public are key qualities for this role.
