The College is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced psychologist to support the Year 5 and 6 students on our Regis Campus. The College Counsellor - Regis works collaboratively with other members of the Pastoral Care team to provide specialised assistance in regards to individual counselling, liaison and case management, referrals to external professionals/agencies as well as providing advice and resources for teachers and parents.


This is an ongoing, part-time position commencing Term 3, 2022 and the successful candidate will be required to work 16 hours per week during term time only. 

The successful candidate will:

  • be a Registered Psychologist with AHPRA and a member, or eligibility to be a member of the APS
  • hold formal qualifications that include psychology and counselling
  • be familiar with psychological and education assessment tools such as the WISC V and other measures of cognitive ability
  • have experience in an educational context (desirable)
  • have an interest in boy's education
  • demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College
  • demonstrate collaborative practices and a commitment to working as part of a team
  • demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning
  • demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • hold a current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people
