College Teacher

£25,114 - £37,692 per annum (pro rata to 42 hours per week), up to 3 days per week

An excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive teaching team has arisen at Treloar College. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher to teach and facilitate learning with a group of students working mainly at Entry level who have complex physical, medical, sensory and learning needs. The position involves working as a member of a well-established multi-disciplinary team to set trans-disciplinary goals, delivering high quality learning to students enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities include devising students learning programmes and guiding them through the learning process, action planning and ILP completion. The post holder will need to undertake assessments for a range of programmes, taking full responsibility for the success of own students. The will also need to support the personal tutor and if required attend the MDT meetings, ensuring that the curriculum is appropriate for each student, with challenging targets being set and achievement monitored and taking corrective action as necessary.

Good general education, including English and Maths at Grade C or above, and an SEN qualification or a commitment to achieve this is essential. The successful candidate may be a qualified teacher or an unqualified teacher working towards (or committed to starting) a teaching qualification. You must also hold a Level 3 or above vocationally relevant or professional qualification.
