College Tutor (Sensory and Interactive)

An excellent opportunity to join our dedicated and supportive teaching team has arisen at Treloar College. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional teacher to teach and facilitate learning within the Sensory and Interactive area with a small group of students who have extremely complex physical, medical, sensory and learning needs. You will be working as a member of a well-established multi-disciplinary team; the team work closely together to set trans-disciplinary goals, deliver high quality learning to students enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities include acting as a personal tutor, attending and contributing to multi-disciplinary team working, setting targets and monitoring achievement. You will also be required to guide students through the learning process, action planning, Individual Learning Plan completion and Annual Reviews.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher. Applications from newly qualified teachers, seeking to pursue a career teaching young people with Special Educational Needs, are welcome. Candidates without an SEN qualification will be required to demonstrate a commitment to achieving this. There is also the opportunity for the right candidate to take on additional responsibilities as a Programme Leader for this cohort of students.
