Job Title: Commissioning Editor – Teacher Resources and Training

Permanent, Full-Time 

Salary: Negotiable (Circa £45,000 - £55,000) - Heavily dependent on experience; of commissioning in educational publishing, training or qualifications.

Location: Cambridge or Coventry

What it’s about

Our product directorate is responsible for determining OCR’s product offering to the market; General Qualifications, Vocational Qualifications and Supporting Materials & Services.

The Product Support Department’s function is to define and manage the delivery of a programme of support services & materials; training packages, electronic and published media, that balances cost and quality, and adds strategic and commercial value; as well as a differentiated offering, to OCR’s products. 

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for developing product and qualification suite level strategies.  You will spend the largest proportion of your time commissioning, customer-centred products; covering assessment support materials, training events, and digital services, so that Training Providers and Examination Centres have the information and support they need to deliver OCR qualifications and curriculum with confidence.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of commissioning electronic media, printed media and training services; ideally in an educational context.  Commercial experience is essential.     

It is essential that you are innovative, collaborative, commercially focused and resilient.
