The Learning Support team at South Staffordshire College require several communication support workers to provide British Sign Language (BSL) support for hearing impaired and deaf learners and Unified English Braille (UEB) support for visually impaired learners to fully access and partake in their study programme.

These exciting and challenging roles are an opportunity to motivate and encourage learners to embrace their differences and to help them develop their skills and confidence to work more independently in preparation for adulthood and working life.

The successful candidates will have at least Level 3 British Sign Language qualification or contracted (grade 2) braille and experience of supporting young adults, preferably in an education setting.  

You will be an excellent communicator, committed and enthusiastic with a natural ability to inspire learners to recognise and achieve their aspirations.
